PhD Students

Parco Sin, Ph.D.

Parco currently works as a behavioral science manager and is one of the founding members of System-3 Inc.

2018 – 2022 Parco completed his PhD exploring Reactions to Pay Dispersion from a Distributive Justice Framework

2016-2018 Parco completed his M.A. examining The Effects of Meritocracy Beliefs on Evaluation of Pay Dispersion


Rebecca Lee, Ph.D.

Rebecca currently works as a Senior Associate in Organizational Development at GALE.

2016 – 2021 Rebecca completed her PhD on An Examination of Workers’ Experiences of Ill-Being and WellBeing during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

2014-2016 Rebecca completed her M.A. examining Work-Family Conflict and Professionals’ Career Tracks.


Cailin Stamarski, Ph.D.

Cailin currently works as a Specialist, Evaluation Services for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.

2014 – 2021 Cailin completed her Ph.D. on System Justification and Women’s Self-Objectification 

2011 – 2013 Cailin completed her M.A. on the Effects of Preferential Selection and Merit on the Stigma of Incompetence.

Vishi Gnanakumaran, Ph.D.

Vishi currently works as a Senior Organization Effectiveness Consultant at BMO Financial Group.

2013 – 2019 Vishi completed his Ph.D. on Workplace Inequality: A Grounded Theory Approach

2010-2012 Vishi completed his M.A. under Dr. Son Hing’s supervision examining Multiculturalism or Colour Blind Diversity Policies: Impact on Selection Decisions


Sandeep Mishra, Ph.D.

Sandeep Mishra is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Hill/Levene Schools of Business and Associate Member of the Department of Psychology at the University of Regina. His broad expertise is in the areas of judgment and decision-making, personality and individual differences, and evolutionary theory. His research largely focuses on understanding decision-making under risk, including gambling. Sandeep worked with Leanne as a postdoc from 2011 to 2012.

Dan Van der Werf, Ph.D.

Dan currently works for and is the founder of Perennial Talent, a boutique-style competency management and hiring consulting firm.

2013 – 2018 Dan completed his Ph.D. on Group Inequality: A Scale Validation Study.

2011 – 2013 Dan completed his M.A. on Group Inequality and Its Effects on Group Dynamics and Performance.

Baylee Rubinoff, M.A.

Baylee is currently an IT Business Analyst for Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association.

Kelsea currently works as a Specialist, Organizational Planning and Design for Canada Post.

Christine Yip, M.A.

Christine currently works as a Managing Director for Organizations for Impact.

2008 – 2010 Christine completed her M.A. on the Negative Effects of Organizational Inequality on Employees’ Well-Being.


Leah Hamilton, M.A.

Professor at Mount Royal University.

2004 – 2006 Leah completed her M.A. on Implicit and Explicit Prejudice and Overt verses Covert Discrimination Against Gay Men.


Ewa Czerny, M.A.

Ewa currently works as the Director of CSR Programs & ESG Reporting for Recipe Unlimited Corporation.

2003 – 2005 Ewa completed her M.A. examining Whether Women’s Explicit and Implicit Stereotypes Moderate Experiences of Stereotype Threat.


Robert Grunfeld, M.A.

Robert currently works as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Black Hills Orthopaedic & Spine Centre of Wyoming.

2002 – 2004 Robert completed his M.A. on Affective Responses to the Implicit Association Test (IAT)
